Opportunity for women to learn how to read the quran correctly according to the way it was revealed to the prophet ﷺ
This level covers the letters and on their point of origination (Makhaarij) as well as some basic Tajweed rules.
Students will use the ZOOM platform for their online learning. Our lessons are made to be interactive for students to benefit as much as they can. The lessons will be theory based and practical with immediate implementation of recitation and practice with the Ustaadha (teacher). Students will be given homework to encourage practising in their own time and a test towards the end of the course. The last three weeks of the course will be centred around recitation and implementation of what they have learnt. This will enable students to read and practice with the Ustaadha and their chance for more 1-2-1 reading.
Entry and Age Requirements:
Students should be able to recognise Arabic letters in their different forms, i.e. beginning, middle and end of a word.
This course is suitable for students aged 13 and over.
Level 1 covers all the alphabets and some basic tajweed rules.
By the end of the course, the students will be able to:
Pronounce the Arabic alphabets correctly from their point of origination.
Identify the point of origination of the letters
Recognise them in the difference forms (beginning, middle and end of a word)
Fluently read the letters with their short and long vowels.
Know the difference between full mouth and empty mouth letters.
Understand the rules pertaining to the letter laam (ل ) in name Allaah
Be confident in pronouncing the letter raa ( ر ) as a full mouth letter and as an empty mouth letter.
Identify the silent letters.
Understand & Implement the basic rules of Ghunnah and Qalqala
Towards the end of the course, students will be receive a Certificate of Achievement upon passing the test in shaa Allaah.
Once registered, students will receive a link to the Google Classroom & course notes pack a day before the first lesson in shaa Allaah. It is vital that all students download ZOOM and Google Classroom on the device(s) they will use for the lesson as class updates and announcements will be posted on Google Classroom.
Students will receive a link to the recording of the lessons to catch up on Google Classroom.
